Farhan Akhtar has been associated with films like 'Dil Chahta Hai', 'Rock On!!' and 'Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara', which were all based on male bonding.
The actor recently questioned as to why only films based on this topic in are questioned by audiences. Farhan asked, "I have been asked this a lot. I have wondered why no one asks this question to someone who only makes love stories or love triangles. Why are only male bonding films singled out?" This next production with Ritesh Sidhwani is again a male bonding film, titled Fukrey. Speaking of their decision to choose the same concept, Ritesh said, "All the stories had different male bonding. This ('Fukrey') is different than those as well. The story attracts you. Not that it is only on male bonding."
The movie stars Pulkit Samrat, Manjot Singh, Ali Fazal, Richa Chadda, Vishakha Singh and southern actress Priya Anand in the lead roles.
